I joined the chess craze during the pandemic. (Feel free to reach out for a game on lichess: @CasualHippo)
Starting with the phenomenal Netflix series Queen’s Gambit, I dove into chess YouTube. It’s hard not to be full of admiration when watching masters demonstrate their prowess during simul matches or blindfolded demonstrations. Particularly being able to hold the state of the board in their mind during a blindfolded game… That was a skill I wanted to be able to learn.
So, I made an app to learn and practice. It’s available on the Google Play Store, and at the time of writing we’ve broken 500 installed devices, and I’ve made enough money to be able to buy a burger from Burger King. As far as my first serious listing on the Google Play store, I’m ecstatic. Regarding my ability to play blindfolded chess… I start losing traction of the state of the board after my 10th move, and make simple blunders. I’m still a work in progress haha.
